I'm Julien Perrière. I was born in November 1991 near Paris, where I've been living for the first fifteen years of my life. I then moved with my family in the East of France, just at the German border. Even though I didn't realize it at the time, I was a lot influenced by German culture in many sides of my life, including design. Once graduated from high school, I studied literature, then political sciences, and then I dropped out in order to make a living out of my passion. Since then, I'm happily living in Paris, where I study second preparatory class at HETIC during the day, and improve my craft at night.
As a designer I relentlessly try to be a problem-solver, to inspire people and to make their lives better by putting beautiful and user-friendly inferfaces into the world. To my mind, the most beautiful design is the one that is dictated by the task it has to accomplish : the form should always follow the function, there is no room for the beautiful-but-useless stuff. Nevertheless, great design is not insipid : it has to be spectacular in its way, it has to create emotions. That is what I strive for every day, and I feel very lucky.
